Beth is an award-winning fine art photographer whose work explores ideas around contemporary womanhood through the use of otherworldly underwater imagery. Beth's style of figurative photography constructs narratives that illustrate the representation of modern women in today's society and how they interact with the natural world. In 2022, Beth was the first woman and the first photographer to win the Brisbane Portrait Prize for her powerful self-portrait "No Land In Sight" which was inspired by her mood during the COVID lockdowns. This striking image captures Beth's head floating above dark and freezing waters with a moody and threatening sky above her, capturing her frustrations and defiant resilience.
