Exhibition: Urban Scrawl

I had the chance to catch the exhibition “Urban Scrawl” last night, as part of the ongoing Midsumma Festival. Currently open at the City Library up on the mezzanine level, I’d highly recommend checking this out and perhaps even scoring yourself a nice bit of art. Featuring work from artists Kaff-eine, Tigtab, Blacklodge and Precious Little who have all taken their works from the streets and in to the gallery space, there is some really good work on display.

The entrance to the library has been Kaff-eine’d up to welcome you in.

This mural is quite big and takes up about 1/3 of the massive main wall alongside 2 of its friends.
Kaff-eine’s watercolour works were really great and reminded me of some well illustrated children’s books.

Taking it underground, the exhibition featured a number of well shot photographs from beneath Melbourne.

As we left, we stepped out in to a beautiful Melbourne sunset streaming down Flinders Lane. Great end to a lovely Thursday evening.
