We here at Image Science have been just devastated by the destruction caused by the bushfires currently raging across our beautiful country. Our firefighters have been on the ground for months, risking their lives to protect life and land on a daily basis. It's easy to feel helpless in times like these, so we've decided to take some action and join forces with Amrit Murti Illustration to raise as much money as possible for the CFA (Country Fire Authority).
Amritmurti Eve Lowrey is a young Australian illustrator currently living in London. Originally from rural North-East Victoria, Amrit grew up surrounded by native flora and fauna, giving her a deep connection and respect for nature from a young age. This constant connection to land and country can be seen in all her works and has fuelled a number of illustrations in response to the Australian wildfires. Feeling helpless in the face of such a disaster, she has donated her ‘Our Heroes in Yellow’ Illustration to help raise money for bushfire relief.
To go in the draw to win an A4 limited edition giclee print of this gorgeous illustration, just follow the instructions below by making a donation of $10 or more to our Facebook fundraiser, commenting "donated" and tagging a friend on our Instagram post.
Image Science has also donated a limited run of 40x A5 giclee prints of "Our Heroes in Yellow" which are available for purchase on Amrit's website with 100% of the proceeds going towards the CFA.
Our donation of 6x A1 fine art prints to Danny Cohen's Bushfire Relief Fundraiser auctions have thus far topped $5000, with 100% of the proceeds going towards WIRES (NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.) and the Fire Relief Fund for First Nations Communities. We hope we can have the same success again!
