In one particularly good year (2000 IIRC) – I went to three great exhibitions – the World Press Photo awards in Amsterdam, The British Gas Wildlife Awards in the National History Museum, London and Sebastio Salgado’s Migrations in Barcelona (in Gaudi’s amazing Casa Mila aka La Predrera). This was a great year, and probably the thing I miss most now that I live in Australia again – easy access to the world’s best creative stuff, both current and classic – hard to beat living in Europe for that…
This was, not surprisingly, the year I decided to give up on crappy IT stuff and properly study Photography….anyway, I think of it because the awesome World Press Photo awards announced their 2012 winners a few days ago – go check it out, amazing as usual.
And if you don’t know Salgado’s work yet then you haven’t seen one of the most amazing photographer’s of our lifetime. He’s amazing.
The process of printing my files for the exhibition was made very simple with all the detailed information on the Image Science website. In particular the downloadable templates are a fantastic resource. I feel I have a pretty good basic knowledge about the printing process and pre-production but I am totally in awe of the knowledge and set up at Image Science. Printing with them I feel in safe hands and very happy with the final results.
