Ilford Gold Fibre Gloss is a 100% cotton fine art paper that we have been using recently to print a number of exhibitions very successfully.
It has quickly become a firm favourite both in house at Image Science and with the folks we work with. Beautiful deep blacks, a wide colour gamut and a gentle warm tone - it's so good we have decided to add it as a core paper for our own printing services.
This does mean that in turn, we will no longer be printing on Canson Infinity Platine. Gold Fibre Gloss is visually so similar there's no benefit to having both options, and we have had some issues of late with consistency of supply and stock quality with Platine. (Like Platine it's really more of a semi-gloss or 'fibre based gloss' than a pure smooth gloss - put side by side the two are virtually indistinguishable).
Of course, we're an Ilford Certified Printer so you know you'll be able to count on getting superb results with our printing. Also, if you have an exhibition coming up, don't hesitate to get in touch - Ilford are always very generous with sponsorship so they're a great partner to have when printing your exhibition at Image Science.
A sample of the new Ilford Gold Fibre Gloss is available in our printing sample pack.
(If you have been printing on Platine and have any questions about the switch over, just get in touch...but it really is a drop in replacement and of course we've colour matched between the papers. We've actually even done edition series with some sizes on Ilford GFG and others on Platine (because of Platine availability issues) - and everyone has been very happy).

I just wanted to let you know I have my new monitor and computer hooked up and calibrated. I am very happy with my purchase. Once again I wanted so say I really appreciated the time and advice you gave me. You have a great website with so many interesting articles to read. Certainly lots to learn from them...My only regret is that I didn't find Image Science sooner. As I am sure I mentioned I have spoken to numerous people (mainly in department stores) in the last 10 months about monitors and the information they gave was so varied and a lot just 'didn't add up'!. I realise I am a novice with lots to learn, but feel the confident the advice you gave was very trustworthy and knowledgeable.
