Katrin Koenning is a bit of a local superstar when it comes to documentary photography, having won a number of awards, including Australia’s Top Emerging Documentary Photographer in 2011. Her work has been shown at international photography festivals, and published in numerous magazines.
One of her most well known works, exhibited at multiple galleries around the world, was photographed right here in Melbourne. Thirteen:Twenty Lacuna captures moments of strangers in the city hustle, passing by each other unnoticed. The light that illuminates their faces transforms the surroundings into a stage for the split second in which the photograph is taken. The final images are just stunning!
Her upcoming exhibition, Dear Chris, features images in memory of Chris – who took his own life on 5th August 2010 at twenty nine years of age. Dear Chris opens on April 10th – May 4th at Edmund Pearce Gallery, with the opening reception on April 11th 2013. Thematically this is of course similar to an exhibition we sponsored earlier in the year, Close To Home by Jason Henley.
As well as being very talented, Katrin is a pleasure to work with. We were more that happy to show our support of this worthy project by completing the scanning of her final images. We suggest you get along to the excellent Edmund Pearce gallery to show your support for a great upcoming documentary photographer, and for a very important issue.

Just a quick note to say thanks for completing the profiles for my i9950 printer so quickly. The results are amazing to say the least! The profiles are far superior to those provided by Canon and I am pleased to say that, in cooperation with a newly calibrated monitor, my struggle with colour management has finally ended.
