For the first two weeks in December, we have teamed up with two fantastic artists for our annual Christmas Print Giveaway!
Our second artist is Kris Hartas, a fairly new client of ours who is also our November featured artist!
Kris Hartas is a Brisbane based artist who creates realistic pen drawings with a high level of perfection, detail and care, spending an excess of 180 hours on each A1 artwork! His educational background in architecture was highly influential on the development of his practice, leading him to work with various pen techniques and eventually mastering the art of stippling. Alongside working on a variety of unique commissions, Kris is regularly creating work to reproduce and release as limited edition prints, and we're very lucky to be giving one away!
The image chosen as our giveaway print is 'Empress', edition 10 of 10 in a limited run of A2 prints, making this an extra special giveaway! This print is worth $250 and printed on Hahnemühle German Etching. Read Kris' statement on this incredible artwork below!

"Empress possesses an admirable fragility, her soft coat made up of thousands of tiny pen strokes. Almost 160 hours in the making the bridle and rope form the focal point of the piece, framing her strong jaw and pulling your gaze to her caring eye. A small fly sits upon her nose enabling your imagination to picture the context in which she stands."
