Chris Polack's Creative Portfolio

We have been working with local Melbourne photographer Chris Polack for several years now (mostly scanning his awesome BMX work), but results from his most recent DIY process to create his own portfolio impressed us so much, that we thought we would share some details and images with you all.

Chris purchased some of the wonderful Chromajet Centurion Duo Lustre 230gsm stock from us, before printing the images himself using a Canon PRO 9500 mkII A3+ photo printer. Being the first time using any form of double sided paper, Chris mentioned how impressed he was at how fault free and easy to use the paper was.

Chris was looking to have a fully customised, one of a kind, folio and came to us asking whether or not it was possible for us to print on fabric. It just so happens that Pete, our print department wizard, is all over custom digital fabric printing and whipped one of Chris’ images out in no time on our cotton stock.

Both the slip case and front of the folio are gold foil embossed for "added radness", according to Chris.

The book was perfect bound by Phil Ridgway from OrtBindery located in St. Kilda. Phil also created the housing for the book, creating a hard board slip case, wrapped in black fabric and gold foil embossed.
