Unfortunately once again Covid (and the now the flu too!) are causing a few days delays with services - information here.
Please note: Studio not currently open to the public - please order online for delivery, or external click and collect. Our full Covid info here.
The smallest sheet size we print on at Image Science is A4, but with the correct file prep you can also order the much snugglier A5 size too. To do this you'll need to prepare your files 'two up' on a single A4 page, we'll then print and guillotine them into two A5 sheets.
(Thankyou to the wonderful Aviva Kalagas for supplying her artwork to illustrate this guide!).
Download our new A5 template for setting up your files here, and set up 2 images per A4 sized print file (taking into account our print margins).
Please note that the margins that apply for an A4 page do restrict
the printable area to a smaller proportion of the page for each A5 than on the larger A-Standard sizes. So please double check your
margins when downsizing files already set up at A4 , A3, A2 etc.
Don’t forget to allow the correct amount of white space in the middle of
the A4-sized print file to achieve even borders on each side of your A5
prints! You can also place different A5 images on either side of your A4 page setups.
If you’re not confident setting up your own files we’re always happy to help via our $5 basic file setup service too.
Once your files are print-ready upload them here, then head over to the orders page and enter how many A4 sheets you’ll use – i.e. one A4 sheet for each pair of A5 prints.
Let us know in the comments section of your order that you’re printing A5s and we’ll guillotine each A4 sheet into two A5s free of
charge and supply them in A5-sized archival plastic sleeves.
- Kelley M -I just wanted to thank you for the print profile you did recently for me.
My prints are now much improved, especially in b&w, as the neutral tones are now so much better.
Thank you also for your very prompt service, it is very appreciated.
I know I won’t hesitate to contact you in the future should I need any further professional photographic services.
