Harman Technology, trading as Ilford Photo, has been an industry leader and legendary name in black and white photography products for over 137 years.

Formed in the basement of his home in Ilford, Alfred Hugh Harman started making gelatin dry prints in 1879, marking the beginnings of Ilford as one of the most trusted and established names in the entire photographic industry.

(N.B. The Ilford range of inkjet products, including ‘Ilford Galerie’ inkjet media, is not actually manufactured or marketed by Harman Technology and remains a separate business operated by Ilford Imaging Europe).
