Hahnemühle have filled the gap in their fine art paper range by adding two new photo papers - Silk Baryta and Photo Pearl. Not only do they compete directly with the ever popular Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk and Smooth Pearl, but they also come in at a low price point making them a great alternative!
Hahnemühle Photo Silk Baryta has a classic fibre based appearance, where as Photo Pearl is more your classic photo paper. Both papers have a broad gamut which is suitable for photographic work and are slightly whiter and have a more robust surface than their Ilford alternatives.
While it is still early days since the release into the Australian market, we do know that with Hahnemühle's high quality papers and overall presence in the fine art inkjet realm, these papers are definitely worth a good look. If you are a regular Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk or Smooth Pearl customer, get a pack to try out and see how they compare!
Both papers are currently available to order in A4, A3 & A3+ sheets. A2 sheets & 17", 24" & 44" rolls available to order, wtih stock arriving late Aug early Sept 2014.
