Hemp and Agave are archival, world-class inkjet papers that still deliver the museum-grade print quality that is to be expected from Hahnemühle, but with a difference - they are produced from sustainable, natural fibres which can be grown with minimal environmental impact. Hemp and Agave are both extremely undemanding plants to grow, requiring much less water than other materials like cotton, and needing no pesticides or fertilisers to flourish.
Made from one of the oldest, robust and most versatile natural materials in the world, Hahnemühle Hemp is a smooth matte, white toned and optical brightener (OBA) free paper, with a wonderful velvety surface texture. Colours and detail are able to be reproduced to brilliant effect with this gorgeous paper, making it an excellent choice for exhibition quality printing.
Hahnemühle Agave is made from 70% Agave sisal fibres, one of the most sustainable plants to grow in the world. Agave is a matte, optical brightener-free paper with a delicate yet defined textured surface. The raw base fibre of the Agave plant lends the paper a pleasing, natural tone and it's gentle, even texture reproduces colours and deep blacks alike with exceptional depth.
