Ben Guy AKA FunBeard Studios is our first featured artist of 2016. We only met Ben last year, but have been actively following his work since then.
Ben takes inspiration from 70's and 80's Sci-fi book covers for his original works, selling these and his art reproductions to a wide audience at art markets, conventions and online. As well as his oil paintings, Ben teaches at the Melbourne Studio of Art and does the occassional street art mural - something we would definitely like to see more of!
Ben's paper of choice for his reproduction prints is our wonderful Museo Portfolio Rag - a 300 gsm cotton rag paper that is a cut above the rest, with excellent crispness and it sits really flatly as well which is perfect for packaging and selling the prints really nicely!
