Our very own talented services manager, Elisa Bryant, has been working hard over the past few months putting together her exhibiton – Sunny Disposition. Sunny Disposition is comprised of portraits captured using a flatbed scanner – a techinique that started as a harsh 80’s photocopier scan but which Elisa has evolved into a more poetic and dream like image.
These images are then placed in jars (as seen in the image to the right) and used as part of a collaborative installation with florist Jules Christie, to create a dark and mysterious space – where Jules’ style of Gothic floristry, as well as Elisa’s straight black and white portraits, are used to enhance the overall aesthetic.
Elisa has used her network of friends as models so that even though the space and tone of the installation is initially dark, the exhibition will be infused with a light atmosphere. All images have been printed on Elisa’s favourite paper – Hahnemuhle PhotoRag, which compliments the deep range of tones used.
Sunny Disposition runs from July 29th to August 9th upstairs at the Old Bar Gallery Space –74-76 Johnston St, Fitzroy. Be sure to get along to the opening night on Tuesday 29th July, where a great lineup of music will also be provided for your entertainment! More information can be found here.

Just received my scans back and I wanted to let you know what a great job I think you've done. The amount of shadow detail you've pulled from the film is pretty much what I see when the film's on the light table.
Great job and thank you. Appreciated
